Example of Scare Tactics Used Against Women

Example of Scare Tactics Used Against Women

Scare tactics are still alive and well in the world and are used for all sorts of controlling and manipulative purposes.  Women have regularly been victimized by scare tactics of all sorts to both prevent their progress and disable the unification of women through subversive tactics that include scare tactics.

I just read a brief bit of news about one of these scare tactics that is being used to try to prevent women from showing support to their very own ability to receive preventative healthcare to reduce the number of STDs and deaths as a result of cancer and other various forms of illness that target women and kill them if not treated quickly enough. (No, I am not saying that STDs and cancer only target women.)

There are, however, unique health issues for women and symptoms, etc. and this is why women’s clinics are necessary to aid in the overall health of women.

Reading a post in a reproductive health website, I learned a little bit about the subversive ways that scare tactics are being used against women in an attempt to block their ability to receive healthcare in minority communities. If there is not enough support in the community itself, of course, it will be more difficult to provide that healthcare. Therefore, whomever it is that is interested in preventing women from receiving sufficient healthcare has been spreading rumors that the reproductive health clinics, which provide a number of different medical provisions for women, is a part of a plot to legally kill minorities in America through the use of abortion and the placement of women’s health clinics that also include abortion as one of their services, in the minority communities.

IT IS NOT ABOUT ABORTION

If you are against abortion, certainly fighting your pro-life fight would not need to include also fighting against the other forms of health care that women are in desperate need of.  Creating and spreading false rumors about a conspiracy to kill all black people through the use of women’s health clinics is a scare tactic that preys on only the less educated, or better stated, the ones who truly need the provisions of a health care clinic in their neighborhoods.

If you want to fight to prevent abortion, perhaps straying away from being a subversive murderer of women by spreading rumors about genocide to scare women away from the very facilities that are providing them with the help they need in order to live longer, healthier lives, would be recommended. Otherwise, using those sorts of tactics is simply going against what the point of “pro-life” is supposed to be.

Going into the cause of being for or against abortion is not at all what this blog is talking about.  Argue your case for it or against it, it is a very emotional debate, but this blog is about the fact that it is completely inhumane to continue to attempt to use scare tactics to harm uneducated women and prevent them from receiving the education that they need in order to maintain both their own health and the health of their children, as well as the education that they need in order to provide that to their children and family members in order to create a more unified and safer world for women as a whole.

AVOID MANIPULATION TACTICS THAT ONLY END UP HARMING WOMEN

The manipulation tactics that people utilize in their belief that the means is worth the ends is contradictory to any kind of just or helpful ends at all and it is certainly in no way supportive of women helping women.

I read this post written by Pamela Merritt on RH Reality Check and saw that she made a number of very important points to consider and am thankful to women such as this for bringing these different pieces of news and understanding to the table for an attempt at helping women to receive the care they need in the future.

Women will best help themselves if they continue daily to educate themselves more and more and to look for ways that we can help one another in all aspects of our lives.  We will do best in whatever we care about if we do not use subversive, manipulative, scare tactics, much like the men of the world have been using for centuries to keep us supressed so that they can retain their power.  We have been turned against each other for far too long and it’s time for this kind of attitude of women against women in society to end. Men should be held accountable for their behaviors, attitudes and actions and women should support one another and continue to attempt to work toward a worlds where people of all sexes can live without the need for domination, manipulation and scare tactics against women.

This whole issue reminds me of a comment that a friend of mine used to make to me. She said, “Alicia, You don’t throw the baby out with the water.” In some cases, such as the situation described above and the scare tactics used to keep women from getting proper healthcare, I think she is very right. In others….I am not so sure….but definitely those words are often applicable and significantly useful when considering various points in life.
